Awesome sticky notes

Hi everyone, it's Kat here!

Are you all sitting comfortably?!  I hope so, because there's a story to tell before I show you what I've made this week!

I really wanted the Mama Elephant Sticky Notes stamp set when it was released but convinced myself that I didn't really need it and probably wouldn't use it.

Last weekend at a show with DtDF I finally gave in and bought it, and I'm so glad I did because I love it!

So, the moral of my story is...if you really really want something then just buy it - lol!!!

Oh, and what did I make with it?  A sticky notes pad!

See how cute it is?!

Inside it looks like this...clean and simple.

If you would like more details on how I created this project then please do pop over to visit me at Paper Firefly.

Have an awesome day!

Kat xx

Chrysanthemum Border...

Hello everyone!

It's Sue here today with something a little different from me - well, a change is as good as a rest and I did enjoy making this card!
I think it's good to try something new every now and then!  (Which explains why buying craft items and using them are two separate hobbies)! (-:

This card is one of a set I made last year for our Tracy for Die Cutting Essentials magazine.
Thank you for popping by.
Happy Creating

love from Sue...xxx

Please feel free to visit me at tanglemouse cards if you want to know a bit more about how I made this card...

Bee Mine

Happy Friday all, it's Kat here!

I shared a card I made with these cute bees at the start of January...and I just had to have another play bee-cause they were crying out for a shaker card!

I've heat embossed the honeycomb background in white and inked over it with Distress Oxides.

The hexagon pouches make it so easy to add the shaker element; they really are a game changer for me!

If you would like more details on how I created this card, including the Copic colours I used and more detail on creating the shaker, then please do pop over to visit me at Paper Firefly.

Have a wondeful day!

Monster Sized

I coloured up these little monsters before pondering what to make with them but since there were a few of them I decided to make a pop up box card (at least I think that's what this fold is called!) where they could all feature together.

I think they work well, plus it all folds up to fit in an envelope and mail flat!  Ideal :0)

I used a sentiment from the same stamp set, but I masked off part of it because it wouldn't all fit in.

Cardinal

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here today :)

What happened to January?!

So, the beginning of February means time for a new release from Whimsy Stamps. This month, we welcome Jennifer Dove to the team of talented illustrators. This is Cardinal. Isn't he gorgeous?

I have to fess up. I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to birds, so I used the colours from the package as a guide. Sometimes it's good to push yourself a little out of your comfort zone. Makes it easier when you do it again ;)

If you are local to Maidstone, we are at the Sincerely Yours Papercraft Show today, pop in and see us:

Blowing Kisses

Morning all, it's Squirrelday, and a card that says it all about my organisational skills!

I do like a stamp that is multi-purpose, and although I bought this one for a specific reason, it
came in very handy this week for something else

How could you be cross with that little face?

(you can find the matching die here)

I tried keeping a diary, but kept forgetting to write in it.

Sigh.

Hugs to all

Jar of hearts

Hi everyone, it's Kat here!

I'm still sticking with love-themed cards and this time it's a little Lawn Fawn offering...

I never bought the How You Bean stamps and dies when they were first released, but when I saw these Conversation Heart add-ons in the latest release I just had to go back and get the whole lot!

So cute, right?!

Fiona Loves Flowers

It's my mid-week post for Dies to Die For and I've used one of my favourite images from Stamping Bella. She's called Fiona loves Flowers and it's safe to say that I love Fiona!  I've not tried her in blond before and blonds do scare me a bit in terms of colouring, but I took a leaf out of the lovely Squirrel's book and used some Scattered Straw ink which gave it a beautiful golden shine.  The 40 sentiment was cut out 3 times in purple card and once in the patterned papers so it's quite well padded!

Go Wild

It's mid-week already and I have a Wild card for you today.  The image is from a Gerda Steiner stamp set called Go Wild and I've used two images and a sentiment from the set.  I drew the grasses in with a pencil before shading it in (just in case I didn't like it!).  Methinks my little guy is peeking in the wrong direction!  :0)

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here today :)
